What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

Contact forms

On this website we have a single contact form which is used to initiate a request for proposal for a redesign of your website. Further down in this text this form shall be referred to as the “Website redesign” form. In this form we may request information about your current website, your names and e-mail, other websites which you may find appealing and any other comments that you may useful in guiding us to offer you the best possible redesign service. This form doesn’t store your data on the website, but instead directly e-mails the contents that you have submitted to one of our administrative e-mails at redesign@quikfox.com.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics on this website. As such the analytics script collects data about the pages that you visit in an anonymous form by only connecting the IP. You may opt out of the tracking by Google Analytics by selecting the appropriate option on the corresponding banner that appears on your first visit to the website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your personal information with anyone outside of our company. Your privacy is paramount for us and we guard our client’s confidentiality to the best of our capabilities.

How long we retain your data

The information that you send to us using the Redesign Form is kept for one year from the date of submission for administrative purposes and for processing your request. After that it is entirely deleted from our servers.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, submitted the “Website redesign” form or have contacted us in another way you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

The data that you submit through the “Website redesign” form is being sent only to an administrative e-mail owned by Quikfox – redesign@quikfox.com. We do NOT share this information with any other partners or subsidiaries without your written consent. Our e-mails are hosted on well-secured Swiss servers at Hostpoint AG (https://www.hostpoint.ch/).

Your contact information

Your contact information received by us in the notification e-mail that we receive when you submit the “Website redesign” form. We may then make a note / copy this information in our administrative database (local files or databases kept at the Quikfox office premises) in order to track the progress of your request.

Additional information

How we protect your data

We save your information in password-protected and GDPR compliant storage, with personal information being transmitted only through encrypted data channels until it reaches our office premises. Your information is accessed on a need-to-know basis and your request is pseudo-anonymized by assigning it a project number when it has to be processed by our employees.

What third parties we receive data from

We receive further information about your visit (duration, source, focus) from Google Analytics and from Facebook in case you have arrived on this website through one of our Facebook Ads.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We do not implement any automated profiling or decision making based on the data submitted through this website. We treat every visitor and potential client in the exact same way regardless of the information for their visit (duration, source, focus).

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Our company is governed under EU and national legislation and as such we may be forced to disclose the written correspondence with you (data from the “Website redesign” form as well as any other written communication using e-mail or instant messenger applications such as Skype, Viber, Facebook messenger, etc.) in case we are compelled to do so by the competent authorities of our country given a valid legal reason to do so.
